“What kind of things should I indicate in my profile about who I am as a human being? ” Cole asks them.
“Tell them that, you know, you’re an educated young man, and you’re interested in meeting a nice girl,” his grandmother says.
For the photos, his grandparents say that it’s best for young men to appear clean-shaven in their profile. They should also be wearing a dress shirt or a sport coat, so girls don’t think that the guy is sloppy.
They also suggest that Cole should play up his more serious pursuits in his profile, such as going to school and teaching. When Cole asks his grandparents if he should be doing something else in his profile, like including a photo of him jumping out of a plane, they respond with a resounding ‘no. ’
While Cole’s grandparents don’t have the most typical approach to modern online dating profile, it’s hard to argue with them because they have been married for 70 years.
