Yumi Kim, a growing contemporary womens brand based out of Soho, is looking for an experienced Freelance Designer.

Responsibilities
Development at all stages under guidance of Creative Director: sketching, detail sketches, tech-packing (proto stage), specing, trend presentation boards. concept research and assist in design development
Measure / check specs of proto samples and attend production fittings
- Coordinate and attend proto fittings
- Maintain regular communication with sample development, proto revisions, comments and corrections
- Send out and follow up on fabric, trim and style development packages for overseas vendors
- Adhere to due dates for all stages of design
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience
- Ability to create initial specs and execute tech packs
- Familiarity with the development process and experience working with Asian factories and vendors
- Computer: proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office
- Possess a strong fashion, color, and print sense. Must have ability to interpret trends
- Be able to effectively manage time and multi-task, pay strong attention to detail, and work within a fast paced environment
- Strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication and work ethic
