As the name implies, makeup is used to turn eyebrows into looped bows above the eyes.
The beauty enthusiast behind the cutesy arches is Lisette Scheffler, a self-taught makeup artist who was just looking to try her hand – er, wand – at the viral phenomenon. “I just saw how all of the brow trends became very popular in the past and thought it would be funny to create my own, and so I came up with the bow brows,” Scheffler told POPSUGAR in an email.
She shared her creation on Instagram, where she also posts other makeup inspiration for her near 1. 6 thousand followers, captioning the post: “Bow brows ? Since Brow trends became very popular the last weeks I thought about inventing my own brow trend. I hope you guys like it! Product details come tomorrow! ”
To outline the bow shape, Scheffler used Maybelline Eyestudio® Brow Satin Define + Fill Duo, which she drew on in small strokes to emulate real brows, reports POPSUGAR. She then added volume and definition with the help of Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel.
“To be honest, I don’t think anyone would leave the house like this,” she said. “But one girl re-created my bow-brow look and told me that it was really funny. It’s all about fun and creativity. ” While some followers were quick to insert eyeroll emoji, others took to the comments to encourage her creativity.
