What more classic than Home Alone come holiday season? If you’re a fan who is traveling to the scene of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York this year, you can have your ice cream sundae and eat it too, thanks a special experience offered by the Plaza Hotel in New York City. According to a press release, the iconic hotel on Fifth Avenue is celebrating its 25th anniversary of the film with a “live like Kevin” experience.
But don’t worry, you won’t have to escape any bandits. In addition to in-room perks, guests can dine in the Todd English Food Hall where they will taste-test more done-up versions of classic ‘90s foods and snacks. Think upgraded Sunny D, Capri Sun pouches, and Lunchables—just enough to indulge your inner child.
There will also be an interactive photo experience, which will make you feel like you really are lost in the big city. “Guests will walk their way through the NYC skyline for photo opportunities with the Wet/Sticky Bandits, a Central Park scene and have the opportunity to choose a custom photo booth experience for photos to take home with them,” states the release.
But wait, there’s more: “For the literal cherry on top, this booking option will include a complimentary in-room ice cream Plaza-style-sundae cart ordered via room service.” A-la-carte additions include express passes to the top of the Empire State Building, access to Wollman Rink, a 4-hour limousine tour through NYC where you can use your Home Alone Map to guide you through Kevin’s adventure, and a personalized vacation photographer.
