Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the worlds eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. Well be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing. ”
Spring has officially sprung — at least as far as Meghan Markles wardrobe is concerned. With less than a month to go until the royal wedding on May 19, Markle and her husband-to-be Prince Harry havent slowed down their social schedule.
On Saturday in London, the couple attended the reception for the upcoming Invictus Games, a multi-sport tournament (founded by Prince Harry himself) for wounded soldiers. The event is set to take place this October in Sydney, and duo stepped out to greet veterans from both Australia and the UK, as well as to learn more about plans for the games.
Markle opted for a pleated, floral dress by contemporary label Self-Portrait — founded in 2013 by Central St. Martins alum Han Chong — for this particular occasion, which is still available online (if you act fast! ) for $389.
She completed the look with a pair of classic Manolo Blahnik pointed-toe pumps, an Alexander McQueen blazer for some extra coverage and a chain-strap bag by Roland Mouret. While Markle didnt let the detail show on this time around, consider this solid proof that the cold-shoulder trend is still going strong this season.
