I forget whose, but I know there’s some big celebrity wedding happening this weekend. Yet a swimsuit I spotted the other day at Cos reminded me of another celebrity wedding from the summer of 2011, when Sofia Coppola married her longtime boyfriend Thomas Mars in the sleepy Italian town of Bernalda.
A few days before the nuptials, paparazzi photos surfaced of Coppola wearing a simple strapless one-piece swimsuit at the beach with her children. It probably wasn’t a moment she wanted photographed, but it sure as hell immediately made me want a strapless one-piece swimsuit.
It was probably Eres or some other brand that I can’t afford, but I’ve been keeping my eye out for something similar at an affordable price point ever since. Seven years later, and I’ve finally found it.
