Your go-to spot for junk food, Slurpees, and flavored hot chocolate just added a surprising category to its shelves: cosmetics. Yup, 7-Eleven just launched its own line of makeup called Simply Me Beauty.
While you’ll find travel-size toiletries like toothbrushes, tampons, and Tylenol – all of which are oft-necessary grabs on a road trip or on your commute to work – in over 10k stores throughout North America, who would have ever imagined the convenience chain would carry things like bronzer, lipstick, and false lashes?
According to the company, Simply Me Beauty will feature 37 new products that are promised to work on different skin tones – and they are all under $5. Some of items you will be able to pick up in addition your late-night snacks include high-shine glosses, lip crayons, highlighters, mascara, brow powders, bronzers, eye shadows, and more. Convenient, right?
“Much of the time, makeup items like lip and eye colors are spur-of-the-moment, impulse buys,” 7-Eleven category manager Joy Pico said in a statement. “If the price is right, that makes it easier to justify. For a millennial working woman wanting to refresh her makeup while grabbing lunch at 7-Eleven stores, Simply Me Beauty is a welcomed offering and is priced just right for her. ”
