Sky’s most successful original drama EVER is back for season 2

The TV show that has more plot twists in than an Alton Towers ride is back! That’s right, Riviera – the Sky Original show that bought our noughties icon, Julia Stiles, back into our lives and put the power into power dressing is making an explosive return with season two.

Julia Stiles isn’t the only fierce female serving glamour and drama in equal measures, she is joined by none other than Poppy Delevingne. Poppy is trading in the FROW for a spot of Southern France revenge.

But why do we LOVE this show so much? Because it isn’t about the power of men, it’s all about seeing women win – no matter what the cost may be. As Julia Stiles exclusively told us, “Riviera is not about the male moguls in this world, it’s the women who are driving this show. ” Just. Yes.

If you need a brief catch-up (get on Sky Go, like now! ), the new series follows on from the first season. Season 1 saw Julia’s character, Georgina, seek revenge for the murder of her dead art collector husband, who was killed off in explosive circumstances – quite literally.

This time around, Georgina seeks to restore her place at the top of her family, the deceitful Clios family, who have more issues than the Mitchell family. However, there is a new brood on the French coast headed up by the iconic Juliet Stevenson who takes on the role of Lady Cassandra Eltham. Fancy. She is joined by her sassy and stylish daughter, Daphne, played by Poppy, and the broodingly handsome AF, Nico, played by Jack Fox.

To whet your appetite and to celebrate the return of Riviera, we have got our hands on an exclusive image of the entire cast serving serious style. It’s like we are falling in love with Julia Stiles all over again.

Sky’s most successful original drama EVER will not disappoint when it returns on 23 May on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV so slip into your finery, sip the champs and prepare to live your best life via Poppy and co.
