Nicole Ari Parker joins the OG Sex and the City cast on the revival set

Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to share a series of snaps from the set the revival we’ve all been waiting for: Sex and the City’s And Just Like That…

SJP, who plays the iconic Carrie Bradshaw in SATC, was seen alongside former stars Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, and Kristin Davis, who takes on the role of Charlotte, but there was one face you might not be familiar with: Nicole Ari Parker. Yep, while Kim Cattrall (a.k.a. sassy Samantha Jones) was missing, Nicole made up the foursome.

SJP captioned the pictures: “#memoriesmonday @cynthiaenixon @iamkristindavis @nicoleariparker Oh so fine. I’d sing along to 70s love songs with this trio deep into any night. @justlikethatmax I’ll see you ladies tomorrow. X SJ.”

Nicole regrammed the same snap and wrote: “These beautiful beings. Thank you #SJP for holding the whole place together on such a long hot night. #Bestplaylistever.” So who is she?

Who is Nicole Ari Parker?

She’s an American model and actress best known for her roles in Empire and Chicago P.D.

Who will Nicole Ari Parker play in And Just Like That?

While Samantha Jones won’t feature in the revival series (supposedly because of a feud with SJP), Nicole won’t be picking up the role as Samantha, but as her own character: Lisa Todd Wexley. According to HBO Max, Wexley is, “a Park Avenue mother of three and documentarian”. This doesn’t quite tell us if she’ll pick up the mantle as the fourth main character in replacement of Samantha, but the photos do suggest the foursome are pretty close. And she certainly fits the bill as a glamorous member of the SATC gang.

When is And Just Like That out?

The series doesn’t yet have an official premiere date, but you can bet your Blahniks we’re keeping a close eye.

What is And Just Like That about?

Much like SATC, it will follow the friends as they navigate, life, love and friendship in their 50s.
