Why embracing an old-fashioned approach, to dating will help you find love way quicker

Most of their dating challenges circle around questions about whether it’s okay for a woman to ask a man out or not, when to sleep with him in the dating process and how to create a lasting relationship that goes beyond the dating phase.

Not to forget, the infamous “who pays” question, which arises often as both men and women are confused around that, thanks to the modern day dating where nothing is defined.

As a dating and relationship expert, naturally I interact daily with women who come to me with their dating and relationship struggles.

Women also tend to doubt themselves if they have the desire to get married and settle down. Is it too old-school, they ask me?

Live-in relationships are the new hot fashion. You test drive each other for years, only to find that you´re not right for each other or perhaps someone else is and you get hurt.

In a society where the divorce rate is hovering at 42% in the UK, it isn’t hard to see that we are going wrong with the way we´re doing love.

No strings attached sex, no commitment in dating, women pay for themselves and also for the man often and relationships fail even before they get established.

In such an environment, I am showing my clients the power of returning to old fashioned dating. To me, this means going back to the good old days, and although it may feel counter-intuitive, my methods have an incredibly high success rate – I’ve helped more than 100 women get engaged in the past three years.

Here are some ways you can embrace old-fashioned dating, and still feel empowered, because ultimately you are calling the shots.

1. Let the man chase you

If a man is interested, he will pursue you, so let him come to you.

2. Don’t be afraid to flirt

Connect with your crush through smiles and deep eye stares.

3. Allow yourself to be courted

Get comfortable with accepting flowers or gifts from a man, without feeling like you ‘owe’ him anything.

4. Let the man pay on a date

Allow the man to take on the traditional role and pay for the meal or the drinks.

5. Don’t have sex with a man unless a proper commitment is on the table

I advise my clients to wait before sleeping with a man so they can really get to know him and feel comfortable with him. Around the 3-month mark is usually a good timeframe.

True love takes time to blossom, it requires investment and an emotional connection between two people that extends far beyond physical attraction. If you´re looking to build something real, old-fashioned is the way to go!
