Who Is Selling Sunset Star Christine Quinn’s Husband?

While theSelling Sunsetladies had plenty of theories about the retired tech millionaire, Christine set the record straight during a May 2020 interview with Bustle.

According to Christine, she met Christian through mutual friends just about a month after production wrapped onSelling Sunsetseason one, which premiered on Netflix in March 2019.

If you watched season three of Selling Sunset, then you’re probably just as confused as the rest of The Oppenheim Group about how Christine Quinn met her now-husband, Christian Richard – or who the heck he even is.

Though little else is known about their romance, here is what we do know about Christine’s mysterious boo.

  1. Before retiring, Christian was a major tech whiz. “Christian is big in the tech world,” Christine revealed during the Selling Sunset season two premiere. “He went to MIT, and he’s a software engineer and has worked for multiple companies, multiple development projects. ”
  2. Christian initially went on a date with Christine’s friend before hitting it off with the reality-TV star. As Christine explained to Nylon in May 2020, “One of my best friends went on a date with this guy, but wasn’t into him. She was like, ‘He’s not for me, he’s really intellectual, he’s talking about the economy and Bitcoin. ’ I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll meet him! ‘”
  3. When Christian and Christine first started dating, he didn’t even know his new girlfriend was set to star on a Netflix reality show. “When I met him, he thought I was only in real estate,” Christine told Refinery29 in May 2020. “The show comes out and I’m super quiet about it because I have low expectations, and we’re traveling. ” However, when the show became a major hit, Christian realized that Christine was kind of a big deal. “In Tokyo and the Bahamas, people started saying, ‘Oh my God, I love you. I love your show,’” Christine added.
  4. At first, Christian was reluctant to appear on camera, but Christine eventually convinced him. “After we got back to LA after traveling, we got picked up for another season and I asked him, ‘Do you want to be on it? ’ He said, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so not me,’” Christine said during her Refinery29 interview. “He’s really, really shy, but decided to do it for me. He’s on the show quite a bit and, bless his heart, he tries, but filming is a really awkward thing. It’s not organic in any way. It’s not reality in any way. ”
  5. While traveling the world together, Christian popped the question on Valentine’s Day 2019, as Christine revealed to People in April 2020. At their engagement party, which was included in a season two episode (and likely took place sometime in summer 2019), Christian told his future wife, “Christine, I met you in Beverly Hills not even a year ago, and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with you. We had dinner, she was wearing a red dress, and we hit it off in the car. We had instant banter, which is really special – you don’t get that too often. I pursued her, and she’s a tough catch. But here we are now. ”
  6. Not long after the couple started dating, Christian surprised Christine with an elaborate gift: a nearly 6,000-square-foot mansion with four bedrooms and six bathrooms in the Hollywood Hills. “It’s a funny story because we were traveling in Switzerland and this house came on the market that was so beautiful and so stunning. I was like, ‘We have to go see this house! It just had a huge price reduction, what’s going on! ‘” Christine explained to Nylon. “We flew back to see it, and as we walked up to it I realized it was a house that I used to have the listing on years ago. ” Later, in a season two episode of Selling Sunset, Christine said of the home, “I would sit in that open house every Sunday and would picture myself sitting in that house, getting coffee with my husband, and I now live in the house that I envisioned myself living in. ”
  7. On Dec. 15, 2019, Christian and Christine tied the knot in a gothic winter-wonderland-themed Links”>wedding at a cathedral in downtown LA in front of 75 guests. “I waited to share details from our special day until now,” Christine told People during her April 2020 interview, just about four months after the big day. “We wanted to get married in December to start off the New Year as husband and wife. And a winter wonderland theme with a wicked twist is memorable forever. ”
