Not as much of an oxymoron as it sounds.
At some point in college, a friend pointed out to me that I wore crop tops to class almost every day that I didn’t have to go to work after. He was right. I was working an office job for the first time ever, and I was the youngest person employed there by far. The discomfort I felt about the unofficial uniform of blazers and pencil skirts meant I was prone to loosening up my look as much as possible when I wasn’t in the office. To me, crop tops – with their youthful connotations and just a hint of skin – felt like the perfect way to do that.
