Plus every month that follows. There are holiday cottages for two people, perfect for the romantic getaway you’ve spent the entirety of lockdown dreaming of, as well as larger holiday cottages that are great for breaks with big groups of friends or hen parties in the countryside.

It’s official! Summer is not cancelled. With huge thanks to the announcement that we can finally book a weekend break in the UK (from 4th July) in one of the best holiday rentals on British soil. After months of cancelled plans and the disappointment of postponed holidays (RIP, Bali), we can *finally* maximise on our annual leave and book a little getaway with friends/family members/our partner. Hoorah!
If we can’t laze by a sun-soaked pool on the Amalfi Coast, the next best thing is a holiday cottage with a hot tub. Luckily, there are plenty dotted up and down our home country. Sure, they’re not the cliff-top Grecian properties you might have been dreaming of, but they’re close to home, clean, relaxing and surrounded by rolling countryside. What could be better for your mental health?
If it’s a break for two you’re after, this modern and cosy micro-lodge in Wales is idyllic. It has been designed with couples in mind, with a hot tub (complete with woodland views), outdoor terrace and the biggest oak bed you’ve ever seen. This castle top retreat in Lincolnshire sleeps 10 guests, and it’s among the most modern properties we’ve seen.
It has an outdoor hot tub, a tennis court, steam room and BBQ house – and it has six nights free in July, plus plenty in September and October.
For an even bigger group trip, Heatherbrae in the Yorkshire Dales is your best bet. It has space for 24 people, loads of availability in July, August and September, a hot tub, tennis courts and 10 spacious bedrooms. What more could you ever need?
