We tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills new Magic Touch Concealer, and it looks like it’s a knockout

Beauty stans everywhere consider concealer as a desert island item so for this one to stand out, it really had to deliver. It’s formulated with an ultra-smooth texture, enhanced with moisturising benefits, to leave the skin with a luminous, natural finish.

It claims to instantly brighten those peskyunder eye bags, conceal blemishes, maskdark spotsand even help blurpores. The wand applicator is designed to deliver precise application due to its easy-to-apply teardrop shape.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has been giving us Hollywood-worthy eyebrows ever since we ditched the 90s pencil-thin brows (remember those? *shudders*). But never underestimate the founder Anastasia Soares – The Queen of Brows – as that’s not the only place her power lies. Anastasia Beverly Hills have just launched a concealer range available in 25 versatile shades that claim to not move around and the face, oxidise, nor leave you looking caked-up.

So, to see if the product *actually* lives up to the hype, we asked five people to share their honest opinions and here are their thoughts…

Concealer is probably my desert island beauty product (well, either concealer or my brow pencil) and I have a firm favourite that I seldom stray from, so the new offering from Anastasia Beverley Hills had its work cut out from the get go.

First things first, I found the shades confusing. I’m pretty pale and have warm to neutral undertones, so I gravitated towards shades 3 and 4, assuming 5 would be too dark (I’m never a 5).

Even 4 was too pale, so in the end, I’ve settled on 9, which I would have never initially chosen. I think because there are 25 shades, I’m just not used to having such a broad range of colours to choose from, which is a great thing, but perhaps needs more explanation or assistance when shade matching online.

Luckily, once I had the correct shade, it was smooth sailing. The formula is full coverage, which is exactly how I like it, but is supremely easy to blend and never looks cakey. Plus, the large applicator and generous amount of product means I’ve actually ditched my foundation all together, and instead have just been touching up any red areas or breakouts and blending out. In other words, I’m very impressed.

As someone that struggles with dark circles, concealer is the one product I refuse to leave my house without. So as a ‘concealer connoisseur’, I was excited to try out the new ABH Magic Touch Concealer to see if it lived up to all it’s claims… and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

I went for Shade 13 as I wanted a peach undertone to colour correct my dark circles and match my Indian skin tone. On first impressions, the consistency is a lot thicker than I’d normally wear (take note, a small dab goes a long long way), but wow did this product blend like magic! ! !

With a few brush strokes, I managed to achieve a smooth, airbrushed effect and it felt surprisingly lightweight once set in place.

The pigment and coverage are also up there amongst the best I’ve tried from a concealer. But there’s more – after a long day out and about there was no creasing and no flakiness, which for me is the ultimate test of a winning concealer. ABH have really outdone themselves here. If you’re looking for a makeup bag staple, give this one a try – I promise you won’t be disappointed.

As soon as I pulled out the concealer wand I fell in love with it. It’s big and fluffy and allows me to reach the corners of my eyes and to cover dark spots with precision.

The texture is soft and lightweight – no one wants to be carrying the weight of a bag of sand under their eyes (the after effect of late nights and early mornings already do a pretty good job of that. ) I did think that it was a tad too sheer for me at first.

With dark skin, comes hyperpigmentation, which can be challenging to cover and my under eyes do crease easily, so I felt like I had to layer in the product to really notice the coverage that I usually go for. All in all, it’s a great concealer and the transformation you can get from this single product is unmatched. So I think I’ll be sticking with this one for a while.

Shade: 10 & 12

Whenever I find a concealer that works for me, I always think, “I’ll never find a better concealer than this. ” Then lo and behold, in walks the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer to sweep me off my feet. I am OBSESSED with this concealer so far. The texture is thick and buildable, covering my under-eye darkness (I used shade 10 to highlight) and perfectly concealing my spots (I used shade 12 for this), but still keeps a skin-like feel.

As my skin is naturally quite oily, I find that a lot of concealers don’t sit quite right – they usually move around and don’t melt in the way I’d like them to. But after blending in the ABH concealer with a damp beauty blender, the formula melted into my skin and left me feeling glowy, natural and *actually* concealed. I did notice some creasing on my under-eye but considering that’s a battle I face with every concealer on planet earth, I’m not too fussed. Anastasia, you have my heart.

Shade:
6

I’m so glad this product crossed my way, Anastasia Beverly Hills never disappoints! My skin is really sensitive, so I often have problems with concealers because the area around my eyes is extremely dry.

No matter how much I hydrate it before putting concealer on, it usually ends up feeling sore and irritated. I was quite pleased to see that this didn’t happen with The Magic Touch Concealer, the plant-based, alcohol-free formula felt nourishing and soothing.

At first glance, it appears quite thick but after a quick blend with my brush it melted into my skin. I used shade 6 but I perhaps should have gone the shade lighter. It has a lightweight formula, it’s blendable and easy to apply, giving me that natural second-skin effect that I love. My face has quite a lot of redness and pigmentation and all of it was corrected and covered with just a few dots of product.
