This Parisian ‘It’ bag is taking Instagram by storm

It’s a raffia bag that happens to be shaped like a Chinese dumpling, priced at £300 and comes from Parisian brand Elleme. And it’s been non-stop filling up our Insta feed for weeks.

If you’re on the hunt for a new summer holiday accessory that isn’t ANOTHER gimmicky pom-pom basket (sorry, they’re officially over), you should probably know about the latest IT handbag that’s recently taken Instagram by storm and we can’t get enough.

The style is called the Baozi, which isn’t new but for SS19, they’ve given it a raffia finish which has sent influencers into actual meltdown – you can’t buy the style yet but the website is offering pre-orders.

Though it comes in multiple colours and in two sizes (the larger size is called the Raisin), it’s the classic and understated Raffia Naturale/Cognac that has become the travel must-have that will go with pretty much all of your holiday wardrobe.

As noted by FEMAIL, influencer Marissa Cox was pictured carrying the chic bag in Paris, while Manchester-based Alice Catherine took hers away on holiday to Lake Garda and fashion blogger Lizzy Hadfield carried hers all the way to sunny Lisbon.

The laid-back structured bag features a leather trim, interior zip pocket, hand-stitched handle, flat pocket and magnetic closure to keep all your goods safely tucked away.

On Elleme’s website, the brand states the bag is made in Italy and ‘is the smaller version of our first model: Raisin. The name comes from “Dumpling” in Chinese, the shape remind us of our favorite Chinese food’.

Based in Paris, and founded by Jingjing Fan, Elleme promises to bring shoppers ‘meticulously designed pieces defined by simplicity, timelessness and singularity. ’

We suddenly have an urgent craving for a Baozi and a Chinese dumpling…
