This 90s hairstyle is making a comeback and we’re not even mad about it

Designers from Dolce and Gabbana to Versace sent models down the runway with seriously slick locks but gave the look a chic spin with embellishments, adornments and on-trend headbands.

In the fast-paced and fickle world of beauty, trends come and go quicker than you can say ‘contouring’ and cloudless skin.

The latest and greatest beauty trend to sweep the catwalks? Slick-backed hair a la Mary-Kate and Ashley circa 1999.

That’s right; poker-straight locks with a sharp centre parting and sleek texture will be all the rage this season.

And it seems that the trendiest celebrities are already trialling the trend, with the likes of Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian sporting the look.

If you want to emulate your favourite stars, A-list hairdresser Larry King, who tends to the tresses of Pixie Lott and Gigi Hadid at his South Kensington salon, has shared his insider hairstyling hacks.

Larry said: “Use a Dyson hairdryer and some styling creme to blow your hair super sleek. Then use your hair straighteners to smooth out your locks before brushing it with a ceramic brush. Add bobby pins or a diamante-embellished headband for extra sparkle.”
