The 30-year-old star left Little Mix back in December after almost a decade in the band to focus on her mental health, and a few months later, revealed that she had singed a solo record deal.
In an unsettling turn of events, Jesy Nelson has deleted all her posts on Instagram, unfollowed everyone on the platform, and replaced her display pic with a pinky-red circle. She has totally wiped her account clean – except for her 8.2 million followers, naturally.
Fans have been left wondering what on earth this all means. Where the hell has Jesy gone?!
And many think the launch of her solo career is behind her Instagram black-out – Taylor Swift famously did the same before her album Reputation back in summer 2017, so could Jesy be dropping her new album imminently?
The internet certainly seems to think so, not least because Jesy recently shared that she’d been at rehearsals for her debut single before wiping her ‘gram clean. The snap showed 10 phrases which fans now believe to be the track list for her solo album.
Plus, it was recently reported that Jesy is set to drop her debut solo track in ‘a matter of weeks’, with reports that it’s ‘more upbeat than some might be expecting’.
A source told The Sun: “Jesy spent several months at the beginning of the year working on the music and it has all come together quite quickly.
“Her new record label Polydor are keen to strike while the iron is hot, so they are throwing everything at her project and want the first single out in a matter of weeks.”
And that’s not all, folks. Rumours have been flying on the Twittersphere that Jesy is collaborating with Nicki Minaj, with one fan writing: “Jesy has been liking and commenting Nicki’s posts the past months. JESY NELSON FEAT NICKI MINAJ”.
But another went one step further, commenting: “Nicki Minaj was rumored shooting a music video in this pink theme set a few days ago! Could it be for her rumored collab with Jesy Nelson as we know Jesy changed her profile pic to a pink background”.
Some are even speculating that the track is called ‘Boys’, with an apparent ‘leaked track cover’.
Barbz, show yourselves. We are praying this is true.
