The latest in a series of much-loved murder mystery offerings, The White Lotus is a star-studded cross between a social satire and a good old whodunnit.
Set at an idyliic Hawaiian holiday resort, the show will follow a group of holiday-makers who seem to be having the time of their lives. But, as is often the case, not all may be as it seems.
This is definitely one to catch, seeing as it’s already been renewed for a second season after its success in the US. Here’s everything you need to know.
Over six episodes, a dark plot is due to unfold about these seemingly perfect holiday-makers and the people who work at the resort.
It’s been described by The New Yorker as a “character and relationship study”, but something tells us it won’t be thin on plot.
Without giving too much away, the first episode begins at the end of the show’s timeline, with a character boarding a plane with a box of human remains. But who is it? That’s what audiences need to discover.
Who’s in it?
Look out for an array of big names: Jennifer Coolidge (of Legally Blonde and American Pie fame) plays a needy guest who asks a member of hotel staff out of dinner in the trailer, Dirty John‘s Connie Britton, Modern Family‘s Steve Zahn, Brooklyn Nine Nine‘s Natasha Rothwell and Nashville‘s Murray Bartlett.
