About Interactive Medical Cases
Each interactive case presents an evolving patient history and a series of questions and exercises designed to test your diagnostic and therapeutic skills. You will receive immediate feedback on your answers and treatment choices, along with the opportunity to compare your final score with those of your peers. Video, animation, and interactive content allow you to learn more about mechanisms, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
Sign in to NEJM.org before beginning the case to:
- Save your progress and resume later. Work by users who are not signed in will not be saved.
- Earn 2 ABIM MOC points for each case you complete in recognition of your efforts to advance your medical knowledge. Your ABIM number will be required for us to submit your points.
- Claim up to 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for participating. A link at the end of the case leads to a CME examination.
- Please share your opinions about the case by taking our survey.
NEJM Interactive Medical Cases are free to all users for a limited time. Your feedback is welcome and will be used to improve the interface and functionality of future Interactive Medical Cases.
