The new H&M collection is filled with wardrobe items that can be worn over and over again

H&M is a staple in the GLAMOUR office; we rely on it for its trusty desk-to-dancefloor dresses, durable boots and plaid coats – and the high street stalwart has instantly made us want to start getting dressed again with this drop.

“Autumn has arrived, and this year we don’t have an it-trend from the catwalks on our mind, but something bigger,” declares H&M – the brand that has made it their mission to be as sustainable as possible. So rather than major trend-led designs that you’ll probably buy and wear once, this collection is fashion made with less impact that will last (and stay stylish) for a long time.

We might be preparing for a heatwave next week but summer is very much on its way out for 2020 (sorry, people). Just take a look at our favourite high street store’s latest drops; it’s a sea of chunky knits, tailored coats and chunky ankle boots.

In the same week that both Zara and &Other Stories dropped their AW20 collections to give us at least something to be excited about this season, H&M has ushered in the arrival of its fall collection.

The latest collection comprises those timeless dresses you can wear for years to come without anyone noticing you’re outfit repeating – and they’re all made from recycled materials. Tick.

The collection is ‘an exploration of the beauty and innovation behind recycled materials’, according to the high street giant, and is another step toward’s the brand’s bold pledge to use only recycled and sustainably sourced materials by 2030.

The range was inspired by beatifically crafted lace dresses from the 1930s with cherished wardrobe heroes at the heart of the collection; think off-white and black jacquard minis and midis that you’ll wear forever.

Here are the best buys from the new collection. Race you to the checkout.
