Today sees the launch of The Body Shop’s much-anticipated beauty advent calendars. Yes, you heard correctly, there’s more than one(!).
Back and bigger than ever before, this year sees a trio of reusable and sustainable calendars which are packed with goodies inspired by the acts of selfless love shared by people all over the world (during the festive season and beyond). So while you may well still be clutching on to your summer dresses and sandals, not yet ready to transition into wearing coats and ankle boots, you’ll want to act fast in anticipation of the winter ahead ‘cos these calendars do not last for long.
I know, I know; we’re just scratching at the doors of September and here I am already talking about Christmas beauty advent calendars. However, when they’re as good as the ones we’ve already spoken about (read: Look Fantastic’s advent calendar and Cult Beauty’s advent calendar), who can blame me?
Last year, The Body Shop’s beauty advent calendar retailed for £70 and included some of the brand’s bestselling products such as the Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Face Mask, the iconic Vitamin E Moisturiser, and the Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover.
This year, each one of the three calendars is packed full of a wide range of treats to get excited about – so you can guarantee you’ll be presented with something you’ve tried and already love, as well as tons of new things. Think skincare, hair products, makeup and more.
When can I buy The Body Shop’s advent calendars?
You can buy them right now and you’ll want to be quick about it – they tend to sell out. Each calendar is also capped at one per person (which is fair; the theme is all about sharing the love, after all), so if you weren’t in a hurry to snap one up before you definitely will be now.
How much are The Body Shop calendars? How much are The Body Shop Calendars worth?
The first calendar – Share The Joy – features 24 little goodies and retails for £55 but is worth £77. The perfect treat for a loved one, or a bargain gift to yourself (we won’t tell anyone, promise) it’s a calendar you can’t complain about.
The second calendar is called Share The Love and is slightly bigger with 25 doors to open instead. It’s worth £119 but retails for just £80, making it ideal for those looking to up their #self-care routines without breaking the bank.
Finally, the third and biggest calendar – which is called Share The Love & Joy – features 25 doors with loads of full-sized hero products as well as some minis. Worth £204, it’s on sale for £140. A proper treat, but worth it.
What’s inside The Body Shop’s advent calendars?
We won’t blame you if you want to leave this as a surprise for yourself (it is part of the fun of opening a door each day) but here’s the full list of what’s included in each calendar if you don’t mind any spoilers:
The Body Shop’s Share The Joy calendar allows you to dip into a selection of tub-transforming Bath Bubbles, brand new Body Butters, plus a couple of Sheet Masks to indulge in over Christmas and New Year. We’ll certainly be needing those after all the soirées we have planned this season.
Inside Share The Love you’ll find lots of full-sized products, which is worth bearing in mind if you prefer more bang for your buck.
Share The Love & Joy is the ultimate beauty advent calendar this year, with head-to-toe treats behind each of its 25 doors. What could possibly be better than getting a new beauty product every day for a month? Exactly.
