The A-lister’s favourite sheet mask has had a face lift to make it *even* better

Their USP? They make skin look refreshed and invigorated in 20 minutes – perfect for a red carpet event, or important Zoom meeting with the boss – but they also steep skin with ingredients that provide longer term benefits to improve the appearance.

“I’ve been using bio-cellulose in wound repair throughout my medical career due to its ability to adhere to the dermis like a second skin,” explains the brand’s founder, Dr Yannis Alexandrides, who teamed up with space scientists to create the mask. “With fibres 500 times finer than tissues masks, bio cellulose can lock hydration into the skin while encouraging superior penetration of active ingredients. ”

The adoration for 111Skin’s Bio Cellulose Mask is an open Hollywood secret. It’s even become a status symbol on the Instagram feeds of skincare savvy celebs. Kim K and Lily Aldridge love it, Shanina Shaik and Victoria Beckham swear by it and Bella Hadid’s facialist, Joanna Czech, regularly incorporates it into her skincare treatments. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Priyanka Chopra let slip, “it’s the first thing that goes on my face before make-up, and it makes anything I put on after look flawless. ” While Margot Robbie revealed: “I’ve discovered this brand called 111SKIN. They have these sheet face masks that I put on before going to work or before getting ready for an event. They’re not made out of paper, which ends up sometimes drying out your skin. They’re so amazing and I keep them in the fridge so it’s refreshing when I wear them. I’m kind of obsessed with them. ”

Found to accelerate healing, it cocoons skin with a soothing, cooling sensation that plumps, hydrates and calms. Liquorice root reduces pigmentation and brightens, centella asiatica stimulates collagen and fills in fine lines and silk amino acids moisturise and condition skin texture.

The question is, if it really is that good. Why change it? The brand recently unveiled the reformulated, repackaged and renamed Y Theorem Bio Cellulose Facial Skin Mask, designed to build upon the success of its predecessor.

The base has remained the same, but intelligent ingredients have been introduced to enhance results. Notably the brand’s NAC Y2 booster has been added to supercharge the production of Glutathione (a master antioxidant that neutralises free radicals, boosts your immune system, detoxifies the body and supports the protective functions needed to optimise skin health). Ectoin protects against cell damage and Sensamone (a space-age biomimetic peptide that mimics the benefits of sea anemone proteins) helps to thoroughly calm skin. “It’s the perfect way to soothe, soften and saturate your skin in nourishment,” says Dr Yannis.

Last, let’s address the elephant in the room. Take a guess at how much this A-list treatment will cost you… £100? £1,000? In actual fact, it’s yours for £20 per mask – not bad for an instant facial. Which means we can all get in on the action. Woohoo.
