Stella McCartney unveils her debut wedding dress collection

Stella McCartney is the designer that the world’s most sartorially clued-up stars turn to when they need a show-stopping ensemble.

In fact, Meghan Markle even asked the designer to personally curate an evening wedding gown for her earlier this year. If you fell in love with the look (um, who didn’t? ), then you’ll be delighted to discover that she’s just launched her debut bridal collection.

Stella’s ‘Made with Love’ range is a 17-piece collection that follows the exclusive limited-edition ‘Made with Love’ dress that was launched in June 2018 to celebrate the opening of the new 23 Old Bond Street store.

The exclusive limited-edition gown, which was available in lily white and onyx black, featured a high neck and deep low back and was inspired by the bespoke wedding reception dress designed for the Duchess of Sussex.

Hoping to take a modern approach to bridal wear, the new collection features seven elegant and sleek bridal dresses, a stylish lace embroidered jumpsuit (available in both pure white and a rich scarlet red), and a sophisticated tuxedo in ivory – so something for every style of bride.

Staying true to Stella’s commitment to sustainability (we salute you, Stella), the collection is crafted using her luxurious sustainable viscose, as well as modern version of traditional couture fabrics including lace and chiffon.

This is why you need to pay attention to sustainable fashion

The best part? As a special added touch, each style comes with a blue tag sewn into each garment featuring a personal ‘Made with Love’ message from Stella, acting as the brides ‘something blue’.

The 17-piece Stella McCartney “Made with Love” Bridal Collection will be available exclusively in select Stella McCartney stores globally as well as at select retail partners including Harrods, Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom from November 2018. Prices start at £675.
