21 So-Chic Tops Your 2020 Wardrobe Needs, All Under $45
I love a good top, and yet somehow, I find that the assortment in my wardrobe is lacking. In the Winter months, I usually default to sweaters when topping off jeans, pants, and skirts. But – and this might sound rather controversial – at a certain point, I need to change things up from the knit mix. Instead? Square-neck blouses, feminine flourishes like a gently puffed sleeve, even a pop of color or print is what I’m currently craving.
One look at the latest POPSUGAR collection at Kohl’s selection and you can imagine how delighted I am by the so-chic assortment. All said styles abound! The fact that every style is $44 or less is utterly serendipitous. My wardrobe must be stocked!
As we saw on designer runways for Spring and Summer, voluminous tops are one of the biggest looks for 2020, and the newest POPSUGAR collection at Kohl’s tops are an affordable way to get in on the trend in various forms. For date night, a delicate bell-shaped sleeve is romantic and sweet. At the office? A tie-front silhouette is polished yet playful. For a fashion-girl look with friends? A puffed shoulder is an absolute must. When layering? A printed mesh mock-neck is fresh and unexpected.
Whether you’re in need of a full-on restock like me or are simply craving a new style or two, ahead, shop my edit of under-$45 tops from the POPSUGAR collection at Kohl’s, and start working them into your outfit rotation stat!
The 14 Zara sale items our Fashion Editor is racing out to buy
The idea of ‘sale season’ fills me with dread. It’s (obviously! ) not the cheap clothes that puts me off, but more the dregs of neglected pieces strewn across the floor and hanging off one another that I don’t have the patience to wade through.
But for all their bad points, there’s one – very obvious – upside to sales; that being that you can finally justify the purchase you’ve been contemplating since your dream piece hit the rack at full whack at the start of the season.
The even better news? I have a secret technique to rendering the whole process entirely agg-free. Internet shopping… I know, it really shouldn’t be groundbreaking – but for some reason it is.
When planning to ‘hit the sales’ your mind immediately envisages bricks and mortar. You’re more likely to head to your oversubscribed high street than your phone browser, but online shopping is such an easy way to shop the rest of the year that I’m not sure why it’s not the first place we look come January sales.
This January that’s exactly where I headed – cup of tea in one hand and phone in the other, armed and ready to fight off, well, no one. Such is the bliss of the experience.
The first place I (virtually) headed? Zara. Predictable, possibly, but they boast one of the best sales out there right now. With many of the season’s most popular pieces somehow still in-stock and retailing at up to 65% off.
