Mega manager Scooter Braun—most famous for discovering Justin Bieber and buying Taylor Swift’s masters—has just lost three of his A-list clients: Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and Idina Menzel.
This comes after days of speculation that he may be on the outs with the Biebs (and/or that Justin is shaking up his whole team, agents and lawyers, too) and the loss of some of his slightly lower-profile clients, like J Balvin.
So…#ScooterBraunIsOverParty? So far, no narrative about why his artists are dropping like flies has emerged, with most of this information coming from reps simply confirming a split. Did he do something? Say something? Leak something? We simply don’t know. Yet. (He’s currently on vacation…. )
Scooter Braun came under fire during the Swift masters news cycle, with some of his celebrity clients jumping into the conversation to defend his intentions, while certain Swifties went overboard and inundated his family with death threats, to the point that he had to publicly ask Swift to hop on the phone so they could sort it all out.
As it stands, Braun is still connected to the company that owns Swift’s Big Machine masters, while Swift is earning buckets rerecording. In my professional opinion, this latest round of Braun drama has nothing to do with Swift, though her fans will probably be pleased.
