Katy Perry gives us a glimpse of her slouchy WFH attire and natural hair

Breaking up a long stretch of album covers, glossy magazine shoots and backstage highlights, the pregnant singer posted a picture of herself standing in her kitchen, wearing sweats and eating pickles out of a jar, with the question: “wHaT dAy Is It Even? #stayhomeclub.”

Earlier today, Reese Witherspoon posted a quote to her Instagram story reading: “We are about three weeks away from finding out what everyone’s real hair colour is,” captioning it with the words “FACTS,” and a laughing emoji.

Yep, with their glam squad all in isolation, it looks like Hollywood’s elite are going to have to fend for themselves. But, some are taking to it much more than others. Already, Katy Perry has dropped the rose-tinted approach to Insta-posting in favour of getting real.

Notably, her meticulously sleek hair, which has worked its way through every shade including candyfloss pink, teal green and lilac since her jet-black “Kissed A Girl” days, was left loose, cropped, natural without extensions and mussed up.

Relinquished from public outings and normal proceedings, she’s traded in #adult clothes (or in her case, shoe-horning her way into latex costumes and ginormo headpieces) in favour of comfort. She’s joined the many of us holding down our jobs from our laptops at the kitchen table in snug solidarity. Respect.

The US singer is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom and showed off a baby bump at the end of the music video for her new single, Never Worn White, subsequently sending her fans into overdrive just last week.

The singer could be seen dressed in a white dress and she sings: “See us in 60 years with a full family tree” before the music video pans to the 35-year-old cradling her baby bump.

“I am excited, we’re excited, and happy. It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” Katy said of the exciting news.

Stay safe, Katy!
