The latest look to take social media by storm is the ponytail brow. Eyebrow trends have officially gone too far, which was the point behind makeup artist Mary Jane’s post on Instagram. Turns out, it was just a photoshopped spoof. She writes in the caption, “Omg wavybrows and braided brows (insert spongebob meme) what about ponytail brows … Getting real tired of edited brows that get recognition.”
Remember the days of overly-plucked eyebrows? Thanks to the likes of Cara Delevigne and Lily Collins, full brows a la Cindy Crawford made a complete comeback in the last few years. But it seems like just when we learned that tweezers are the arch enemy and finally grew out our thin arches, we were hit in the face with crazy trends like bleached brows, braided brows, feathered brows, and brow slits. Seriously, who does that?
I’m with her. Remember that fads will come and go, but brows will live on your face forever (that is unless you buy into #baldbrows). A naturally-full, well-groomed set will always be most flattering.
