Pat McGrath Is About to Launch Your New Favorite Lip Product

Pat McGrath has done it again – and by “it,” I mean created a new lip formula thats sure to be the object of every makeup junkies desire throughout spring and summer.

On Wednesday, the legendary makeup artist gathered press in New York City to announce the aptly named Pat McGrath Labs Lust: Gloss, a new range of 14 blindingly shiny, intensely moisturizing, beautifully pigmented lip glossshades.

“Basically, I was obsessed with Lip Fetish and Ive always been obsessed with balms and everything,” McGrath said at the event. “I wanted to have something really comfortable and easy and fun to wear the way that a lip balm is. The fact that its non-sticky, the fact that theres a little oil in the formula gives you that comfort. Its just so easy to apply. ”

As is often the case with Pat McGrath Labs launches, McGrath gave the product a trial run backstage during the Spring 2018 shows. “You saw it backstage at Valentino, which was the first time that we used it,” said McGrath of the shiny nude lip look she created for the show using Lust: Gloss in the shade Pale Nectar Fire. She and her team also experimented with the blue-red shade, Blood 2, atMiu Miu, “on certain girls with the strong liner. ”

Pat McGrath Labs is known for its stellar lip products, which have includedmatte lipstick, liquid lipstick, glitter lip kitsandlip balm. But Lust: Gloss marks the brands first official foray into pigmented lip gloss (a clear gloss, which debuted with the brands 004 Lip Kits, has been present in the line for some time). So why was now the right time to introduce 14 lip glosses, ranging from creamy nudes to pigmented reds and pinks to holographics?
