Oscars Best Dressed 2018: See The Best Dresses From The Academy Awards

Although it may seem like there’s always a red carpet rolled out in Hollywood, the biggest night of the year for the entertainment industry is always Oscar night–and the 90th annual Academy Awards on March 4 brought out some of the best-dressed leading ladies.

From Margot Robbie to Viola Davis and Jennifer Lawrence, these stylish stars didn’t disappoint with their glamorous looks for the evening as they rocked the red carpet at the big show, showing off a slew of chic trends.

From bold brights to a sea of sparkling, sequin metallic numbers that looked just like the famous Oscar statue, see which stars stole the show and topped our Oscars best dressed list.

Jennifer Lawrence stood out in one of the major trends of the night, metallic sequins, as she arrived at the show in a sequin Dior dress, which she complemented with a vampy makeup look that included a bold red lip and winged eyeliner.

Lupita Nyong’o is always one that keeps us guessing on the red carpet and she managed to completely dazzle while also rocking the major metallic trend in a custom-made, gold sequin Atelier Versace gown, which she paired with a Versace bag and Alexandre Birman shoes.

Margot Robbie was a vision in a white Chanel Haute Couture dress, which she paired with a Chanel purse and a silver manicure, which was created byOPI brand ambassador and celeb manicurist Tom Bachik for the occasion. Her custom nails were created using OPI’s Blue “Plate” Special Chrome Effects.

Nicole Kidman is known for taking risks on the red carpet and she did just that, all while wrapping up her look with a giant bow thanks to her cobalt blue Armani Privé gown, which she paired with Harry Winston jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes. She wore her blonde hair sleek and straight while she pulled the entire look together with a red lip.

Viola Davis commanded our attention in a custom-made, bright pink crepe-cady Michael Kors gown, which featured beaded and sequin embroidery. When it comes to rocking bold hues on the red carpet, no one does so quite like Davis, and her latest hot pink creation was no exception.

Although Academy-Award winner Sandra Bullock is a familiar face at the big show, Bullock actually hasn’t attended the Oscars since 2014– but she made a major return to the red carpet in an ombré black-and-gold metallic Louis Vuitton gown, which she paired with a metallic clutch, pin-straight hair, and a smoky eye.

Gal Gadot sparkled in a plunging Givenchy gown and Tiffany necklace, which was polished off with a french twist by Dove celebrity stylist Mark Townsend. “Gal’s look tonight is inspired by her Givenchy silver gown and Tiffany diamond and aquamarine necklace – we decided to put the hair up so that we could really highlight the jewel! The final look has an Art Deco feel – just a hint of 1920’s –without being costumey,” Townsend said.

Zendaya opted for a flowing Giambattista Valli gown that featured an asymmetrical neckline. She kept the focus on the silhouette by wearing her hair back in a sleek topknot, which was created by Unilever celebrity stylist Ursula Stephen, who used Dove, Suave, and TRESemme products to perfect the look.

“Zendaya and I went back and forth about her look for tonight’s show, but ultimately landed on a sleek and chic topknot to enhance the elegant silhouette created by her Giambattista Valli dress,” Stephen said.
