Emily Blunt returns to the role of Evelyn with her three children including the baby she infamously gave birth to during the first movie.
The trailer for the sequel to A Quiet Place is HERE and to be honest, it looks even more horrific than the first movie. So, prepare yourselves!
The movie – that is set to be the horror movie of 2020 – will follow Emily trying to fend off a new breed of the human-eating monsters who find their human prey through sound that haunted the family in the first movie. The post-apocalyptic world sees a number of new characters introduced as the family make their way from the safety net of their home in hunt for other survivors.
Along the way, the family come across a creepy AF Cillian Murphy of Peaky Blinders fame, who morphs into yet another guise, and the Oscar-nominated star of Blood Diamond, Djimon Hounsou, will also join the cast.
Production on the film started in July last year and was completed in September and it’s quite the turnaround as the movie will be released in the UK on March 20th.
Emily’s husband John Krasinski, who starred as Lee Abbott and wrote and directed the first A Quiet Place movie, will not be returning to the role after his character died whilst attempting to save two of his children whilst his wife, played by Emily Blunt, was busy attempting to give birth in silence. What. A. Woman. In an interview on the Jimmy Fallon show, John said he wanted to retire after directing his wife, but retirement will have to wait as he returns to direct and write the movie.
The trailer begins with a prelude of the first film showing a frantic Emily Blunt driving two children down the street as the monsters first touchdown on earth. It’s a frantic race against time to escape before the trailer eerily shows the family coming into contact with some creepy AF survivors in an abandoned warehouse.
As Cillian Murphy unnervingly looks at the baby, he is later seen shutting the family in a cupboard under the stairs and telling Emily Blunt that, “the people left are not worth saving.”
