The fitness guru recently documented her struggle with acne and came to Instagram to reveal the products that she believed cleared up her acne. The best news? Most of the products she swears by are under £10.
You probably know of Kayla Itsines courtesy of her kickass and empowering workout routines and inspiring Instagram content, but besides health and fitness, Kayla has been getting candid about her skincare regime.
The first product that she uses is an £8.99 Cetaphil face wash. The face wash is recommended for oily skin but at the same time, it doesn’t strip your skin of the essential oils that it needs. On top of this, it is gentle enough to use on a daily basis, both morning and night.
Another product that Kayla credits for fixing her skin is activated charcoal by Envy U Skin. Activated charcoal is recommended for a number of skin types, but it’s known to work wonders for itching and irritation, dermatitis, psoriasis and redness.
Among face wash and activated charcoal, Kayla lists a number of other products she strongly recommends, including the Foreo Luna 3. The product is perfect for those who live busy and active lives like Kayla as it’s quick and easy to use. Its also extremely mobile. On top of this, this little device instantly zaps away the dirt and germs that can accumulate during the day and during those gruelling sessions at the gym.
Kayla also swears by Hydracure Hyaluronic Force Serum, La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Moisturiser and Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum. The hyaluronic force serum is a humectant that hydrates the skin without making it oily. Similarly, the toleriane sensitive moisturizer hydrates the skin while relieving sensitivity and The Complex Eye Serum doesn’t include any of the ‘suspicious 6.’ This means that it stays away from ingredients that can be potentially problematic such as drying alcohols, silicones and fragrances.
As well as swearing by that skincare regime, Kayla urged her followers to change their pillowcase every second night and avoid touching your face after gym as the equipment can be dirty.
