M&S’ £29. 50 jeans have sent shoppers into a frenzy

That’s why we were all ears when we heard about a pair of jeans receiving rave reviews on Instagram and even more interested when we discovered they cost just £29. 50 on the great British high street.

As any seasoned shopper will attest, finding the perfect pair of jeans is no mean feat.

Not only do they need to be flattering, they also need to keep their shape, stand the test of time and absolutely not fade in the wash.

The jeans in question? M&S’ Carrie Super Soft Bling Skinny Jeans, which are available in grey and khaki.

According to the website’s product description, the jeans are crafted with comfort and style in mind and will ‘quickly become your new go-to pair’.

They’re made from a blend of sustainably sourced cotton yarns, Tencel and powerful stretch, which gives them extra kudos in our books, and are cut for a skinny fit that flatters from top-to-toe. Shoppers can also choose from a range of authentic and clean washes.

M&S posted a snap of @marksandspencer_charlotte donning the design on its Instagram channel with the caption: “Have you discovered our super-soft Carrie jeans yet? After catching @marksandspencer_charlotte in the sporty (and slimming) side-stripe version, they’ve rocketed straight to the top of our wish list. ”

And it seems they’ve rocketed straight to top of their followers’ wish lists, too, with shoppers taking to the comments section in their droves to compliment the jeans.

In fact, one impressed shopper dubbed them ‘quite possibly the best jeans I have ever owned’ and another described them as a ‘lovely, soft and so comfy’, adding that she was so impressed with the design that as soon as she got home, she purchased a pair online in another colourway.

“All I can say if you want a pair of jeans that are soft and comfy you will not be disappointed,” she said.

After falling out of the FTSE100 list of Britain’s biggest companies, M&S is up against it, so can its new AW19 range save it? It seems it’s making good headway. The retailer has lived up to our (rather high) expectations courtesy of its AW19 collection, including these jeans, which GLAMOUR was treated to a first look at.

A true celebration of women and inclusive design, the extensive collection aims to offer shoppers from all walks of life clothes that make them feel ‘relevant, modern and stylish’, Jill Stanton, director of womenswear and kidswear, and Lisa Ilis, head of womenswear design, told GLAMOUR at the preview. Take a look at GLAMOUR’s top picks.
