Riverdale season 4 trailer and plotlines. Netflix and The CW have not released a trailer for Riverdale just yet, but it is expected in late summer so keep your eyes peeled.
Riverdale – the runaway Netflix hit has returned for a fourth season and after season three’s endless plot twists and serial killers, we have *just about* kept up with it all. So, where are we exactly? Well, we were left with a blood-stained Archie, Betty, and Veronica burning Jughead’s beanie, vowing to go their separate ways and it looks like we’re going to get some final light on that…
So far we know that the first episode of season four will address the death of Perry, who played Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews, who tragically died after suffering a stroke earlier this year.
In a tweet, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared that the first episode of season four would be a tribute to the beloved cast member
“Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever,” he wrote. “A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke Fred.”
Other clues we’ve had on the plot is that Molly Ringwald is sticking around as Archie’s mother. Also, all previous three seasons have been based around a mystery (Jason’s death in season, the Black Hood in season two and the Gargoyle King in the last season) so it’s looking likely season four will be based on something new. EXCITING
Riverdale season 4 cast
It looks like all of the major cast members will return for season four – including KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhardt as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones.
Wyatt Nash, Betty’s actual long-lost brother in the show, is set to be a recurring character appearing in a few episodes since he shared it on Instagram with the caption, “Guess who is coming to Riverdale? Thanks so much for the warm reception!”
Riverdale season 4 release date UK
While the Netflix release date for Riverdale season four hasn’t been officially confirmed YET, normally it’s released the morning after it airs on The CW and this is likely to be October 2019. Watch this space.
