Meghan Markle is settling into her new role as the Duchess of Sussex quite nicely. The royal embarked on her first official outing with the Queen on June 14, where she looked perfectly put together for the occasion in a sleek and chic belted ensemble.
Markle seemed completely relaxed and was all smiles with the monarch as the pair even exchanged some giggles on their day together–and she even clued us in on her new life as a newlywed.
“It is wonderful, I’m really enjoying it,” Markle replied when asked about married life by a member of the crowd, before adding, “He’s the best husband ever. ” Swoon…it’s safe to say the husband and wife are still in the honeymoon phase.
Meghan opted for a Givenchy ensemble created by her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller, for the occasion, as she traveled with the Queen to Chesire, where they made several stops together.
She paired her neutral frock with a glossy blowout, nude pantyhose, and a simple pair of pumps. While Meghan opted for a classic ensemble, the Queen stayed true to her vibrant sense of style in a lime green coat and matching hat.
Not only did the two seem to really bond on the trip, but Meghan was granted an honor that even her husband hasn’t experienced – a trip on the royal train. Prince Charles often uses the nine-carriage vehicle, however, Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, his brother, Prince William, and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton have yet to travel on it.
Although Meghan’s new groom wasn’t in attendance as she tended to her royal duties it’s clear her husband was on her mind. Come fall the newlyweds will embark on their first royal tour as husband and wife when they travel to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand.
