Marks and Spencer is changing its name for the first time ever in support of the royal wedding

Windsor’s town crier made the official announcement at the Windsor store on Friday morning, complete with Percy and Peppa Pig kitted out in wedding attire. Harry and Meghan will be passing by the store on their way to their wedding tomorrow.

With less than 24 hours to go until the royal wedding kicks off, there’s fanfare all over the globe.

From Harry and Meghan themed masks and mugs, to personalised flags and biscuits, the high street has gone bonkers for the nuptials.

The biggest ode to the royal couple? Marks and Spencer has only gone and changed its actual name in honour of the couple.

That’s right; the high street stalwart is changing its moniker to Markle Sparkle for one weekend only (18-20 May).

Prince Charles has confirmed he will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle in a shocking twist

The 8 royal boroughs across the UK have also changed the name of their stores in honour of the couple. Talk about a royal tribute!

“As a quintessentially British brand we had to do something special to mark the Royal Wedding and what better way to welcome Meghan to the family than to ‘marry’ both our names together for the weekend,” said Sharry Cramond, marketing director of food hospitality at M&S. “As a retailer we’ve celebrated 34 Royal Weddings over our 134-year history, but this is the boldest idea we’ve delivered yet.

“We wanted to spark a smile from Harry Meghan on their big day and capture the excitement and celebratory mood of the nation on receiving a real-life Hollywood Princess into our Royal Family! ”

Now that’s what we call wedding fever!
