Mango just dropped its first-ever activewear collection

Sure, your loungewear wardrobe doesn’t need to be updated quite as regularly as you might like your work wardrobe to be, but in the absence a need to stock up onjeans, party dresses andblazers, it’s nice to add a few new options to your menu of workout/WFH outfits from time to time.

If 2019 was the year of corduroy, sparkly party dresses and waist belts, then 2020 has most definitely been the year of yoga leggings, sports bras and tracksuits. We’ve lived in the things, barely changing out of our loungewear for a minute and favouring comfort over sartorial prowess constantly.

Thankfully, high street hero Mango has come to the rescue with the launch of its first ever activewear line. Sure, the brand dropped a couple of sportswear pieces back in 2013, but the offering only ran for one season and wasn’t quite as timely.

Active comes at the tail-end of a *very* tough year: one which has had us realising that the balance between body and mind is key to a good life. The collection has been designed with pursuits like yoga, pilates, dance and meditation at the forefront – which we’re all doing plenty of right now as a result. And we’re obsessed with every single piece.

The minimalist’s dream, Active features a whole plethora of workout-ready garments in various pastel and monochrome hues, including leggings, shorts, tops, long-sleeve crop tops, bodies, sweatshirts and jumpsuits.

The pieces are seamless and oh-so soft, crafted from quality fabrics and with features like chunky, supportive waistbands, high waists and winter-appropriate cable knit detailing. It also includes useful accessories for practising yoga, pilates and the like – from yoga mat bags to money belts, trainers, bags and socks. No stone has been left unturned.
