One thing about Lizzo: she knows how to put a look together. Whether she’s rocking purple crimped hair, lending fans her frothy tulle red carpet gown or killing it with Y2K nail art, the singer always shows up.
Even when she’s going low-key, Lizzo pays attentions to the details. Case in point: the off-duty beauty look her makeup artist, Alexx Mayo (@iwantalexx) put together for her earlier this year for the Emmy’s.
While Lizzo kept her look more minimal, compared to her usual colour-pop eyeshadow or vinyl-looking lips, her eyelashes offered up a next-level flutter that we reckon could quite literally blow people away when she batted her eyelids.
Listing the details of which products he used to create the look, Alexx gave the Velour Cloud Nine Lashes a shout-out, and having done a little research, we discovered that not only are the exact lashes he used on offer for £15. 40 on Look Fantastic at the moment, but they’re made from plant fibres (vegan hemp, to be specific). Plus they’re 90% biodegradable – but not before you get 20+ uses out of them.

As falsies go, that’s a very impressive list of credentials and we’re happy to see that Lizzo was able to look good as hell in lashes that are as extra as they are eco.
As for the rest of Lizzo’s makeup, the Charlotte Tilbury Tinted Love lip and cheek stain in Love Chain that Alexx used to give her skin a pretty flush was way ahead on the Cold Girl aesthetic that’s taking off on TikTok. And Alexx finished off the look with beautifully groomed brows and a nude winter lip combo that deserves its own hype: the K. I. S. S. I. N. G Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense topped up with a glaze of the Lip Lustre Red Vixen gloss.
