Learn Exactly What Designers Need to Know to Protect Themselves and Their Designs From Copycats

We at Fashionista have been publishing our Adventures in Copyright column since our earliest days, drawing attention to some of the decades nastiest, most infamous cases of replication – like Outdoor Voices vs. Bandier, PluggedNYC vs. Kylie Jenner and of course, Dapper Dan vs. Gucci.

And now, were taking Adventures in Copyright offline to become its very own panel at our sixth annual How to Make It in Fashion conference in New York on June 15.

For the occasion, Fashionista Senior Editor Maura Brannigan will be speaking to some of the most legitimate experts in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries, as well as in fashion law, to discuss exactly what designers need to knew to protect themselves, and their designs – be it clothing, logos or packaging.

Not to brag, but our panelists really know their stuff: Susan Scafidi, founder and director of Fashion Law Institute, the worlds first academic center dedicated to legal issues pertaining to the fashion industry; swimwear designer Lisa Marie Fernandez, who fights tirelessly in and out of the courtroom (most recently, against Emily Ratajkowski) to safeguard her innovative line; and finally, Diet Prada, the cult Instagram account calling out “ppl knocking each other off lol. ”

If you want to hear their insights, ask our panel your questions and pick up a few career tips along the way, get your tickets today.
