Kylie Jenner is behind the trend, of course

Kylie’s hair colour is a light chocolate-brown colour that’s perfect for a post-lockdown freshen up now that salons are finally open.

Kylie’s look was created by none other than Chris Appleton and the Kardashian-Jenner squad flooded her comment section with praise. “Damnnnnnn I am LOVING this hair color,” wrote Kim. “This is your hair color! I literally just fainted! ! ! ! ! Gagged! Dead! All of that! ! ! ” said Khloé Kardashian, and momager Kris Jenner screamed, “GORGEOUS! ! ! ! ? ? ? . ”

Anyone else actually struggling to Keep Up With The Kardashians’ hair transformations? In the past seven days alone we’ve seen Kim Kardashian unveil cherry red hair, Kylie Jenner has rocked blonde and pink hair and Khloe is rocking delicious chocolate brown. Hands off the dye, Kendall and Kourtney.

Just when we thought Kylie was settling on her hair hue du jour, she surprised us by unveiling a brand new hue; honey brown hair – and it might just be her chicest look yet. In fact, top hairdressers are touting the hue the perfect post-lockdown colour freshen up for brunettes.

We predict a new trend… and Jason Hogan, Celebrity Colour Expert at Josh Wood Atelier, agrees.

“Honey is one of those tones that is universally flattering, no matter what your complexion. It’s light, balanced, has a richness that is natural and makes your colour youthful and incredibly selfie worthy.

“Whether it’s Honey Blonde, Bronde or Brunette, the hair colours all incorporate the lust-worthy creamy golden hue. ”

For anyone looking to follow Kylie’s lead and switch it up ahead of their emergence from months of social seclusion, Jason says you can really have fun with this. “If you’re going for an all-over transformation, keep it shade on shade to prevent thicker, longer hair from looking too monochromatic. If you’re more up for flirting with the idea, ombré strands will illuminate bobs giving shiny, better-than-natural colour. On longer length, subtle balayage will make everything bright and radiant. ”

Jason notes that with this look it’s important to have the hair glossed regularly to keep the tone in check and colour fresh. At-home sls-free shampoo and regular treatments help slow colour fade and nourish the ends. “Christophe Robin Colour Shield Mask and Oribe Beautiful Colour Mask are my favourites at the moment and worth the investment,” he adds.

Harriet Muldoon at Larry King agrees that honey brown hair is the perfect post-lockdown look, adding: “Wellbeing has never been more important and just as we have been wearing natural makeup, honey brown hair will give your hair a natural glow. Using warmer shades will complement your skin tones. To keep your colour looking as fabulous as when you are in the salon I would use Larry King Social Life For Your Hair to prevent your colour from fading and give your hair a boost. ”
