Jennifer Lopez was just spotted in wedding dress, causing some fans to think her wedding to Alex Rodriguez was happening sooner than expected. But before you start searching for details on the couple’s big day, you should know that it was all an act.
Sure, it’s a bit of a tease, but the wedding dress itself is worth discussing. The strapless, princess-style gown was so big, it took up an entire sidewalk in New York City. And from the photos, it appears Lopez was struggling with the weight of the embellished ballgown and its massive train and matching veil.
The look was accessorized with a gorgeous diamond choker necklace and fur shawl.
In the film, Lopez plays a pop star who finds out her rock star fiancé cheated on her right before the wedding, so she has a meltdown on stage and chooses a random fan (played by Owen Wilson) to marry instead. Consider this your warning, A. Rod…
The romcom, based on Barry Cosby’s graphic novel of the same name, also stars Sarah Silverman, Jameela Jamil, and Michelle Buteau. And although a release date has yet to be announced, it’s scheduled for 2020 – which gives Lopez plenty of time to practice ahead of her big day.
J. Lo is planning to marry Rodriguez next year, but insists the details have yet to be finalized. She told Entertainment Tonight that they are currently talking about a lot of places to tie the knot, though they “can’t narrow it down yet. ”
The couple got engaged in March 2019 and celebrated with an engagement party just last month, so it seems they are taking things slow. Makes sense, considering Lopez is at the height of her career.
In the meantime, we’ll be looking at these photos over and over while trying to guess what her actual wedding dress is going to look like. We’re not not into the idea of a big ballgown. Just saying.
