Instagram queen Estée Lalonde on her new jewellery range, styling tips and genius beauty hacks

I’ve been wearing Daisy London’s jewellery for such a long time, their Chakra collection caught my eye instantly, so the chance to be able to work with them was amazing.

Jewellery, to me, is something that is so expressive so I really wanted people to be able to do that with my collection and there’s something for everyone in it.

“My new jewellery collection with Daisy London is the jewellery collection I’ve always wanted to design”

It’s a lot of heirloom and vintage-inspired pieces with a modern touch. I wanted to incorporate the idea of jewellery that has been handed down to you and means something really special.

I look to my jewellery as a bit of a comfort blanket almost – my mum gave me a necklace when I moved to the UK from Canada and whenever I get homesick, I hold the necklace and think of my family. I wanted my jewellery to be super comforting and tactile. I also wanted to convey feelings of strength and power and just generally making you feel good.

My top three styling tips for Autumn

Style tip number 1 is mixing metals. I’m really into mixing silvers and golds together at the moment – especially since doing this jewellery collection. I haven’t been able to pick just one colour so mixing them has been big.

Style tip number 2 is something that I’m really big on – big outerwear. So like a huge fluffy coat or a big oversized wool coat. That’s always such a staple for me in autumn. They’re great as you can put them over anything.

Which brings me on to style tip number 3 – athleisure. Any excuse to wear fitness clothes works for me and I love mixing athleisure with more fashionable items like the statement wool coat I mentioned earlier. I love to put on trainers, yoga pants, a really cool knit and then a big coat plus all my jewellery of course! You can really dress up athleisure so I’m really into that.

The three items I’ll be wearing all season long

So I’m obsessed with animal prints, which I’m sure everyone is right now! I love a good leopard or tiger print.

I’m also into statement boots – I just recently bought these snakeskin boots from Zara, which I think look awesome with jeans and a white t-shirt. I also want to try and pull off a beret, which British people say a lot differently to the way I do! I really want to try and make that work.

Something that I always tend to splash out on is knitwear – I think it’s better to spend a little more on knitwear as it will last you so long and you can take it from season to season.

My current skincare regime

In the autumn I’m all about moisturisers, oils and a good face mask. I like to mix oils into my daily moisturiser for added moisture. I’m basically really into hydration, especially in the colder months.

I really like cleansing balms in the cold months too – especially the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. I love a good serum, Gallinée do a great one. And then a nice moisturiser, I’m using the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream at the moment. Then I put on an oil; I love the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

The best beauty hack I’ve discovered from my blogging journey

The best one is to use moisturiser as a highlighter! Instead of using a highlighter, put moisturiser in the places that you would normally want to highlight – I really recommend the Weleda Skin Food for that. I learnt that tip from my makeup artist friend, Katie Jane Hughes.

I also like to shave with oils – it’s so nice and hydrating. I love the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil for that right now.

There’s lots of exciting things coming up for me

I’m still working on my podcast, On The Line, which is out every Wednesday with a new guest. So the past few months have been super busy but I love it.

I want to work on creating content for people who are at the same stage of life as me – so talking about the things that the women of today are talking about. Whether that’s on my podcast or on my socials or YouTube channel.

I’d also really love to start my own lifestyle brand at some point in the near future – so watch this space!
