Staying true to her candid disposition, the Riverdale actress took to Instagram to openly discuss her mental health battles and her experience of therapy.
Whether she’s discussing relationships or her battle with cystic acne, Lili Reinhart is no stranger to baring her heart via social media.
In an Instagram story, she wrote: “Friendly reminder for anyone who needs to hear it: therapy is never something to feel ashamed of. Everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist. Doesn’t matter how old or ‘proud’ you’re trying to be.”
She also encouraged fans to reach out for help should they be suffering, too: “We are all human. And we all struggle. Don’t suffer in silence. Don’t feel embarrassed to ask for help. I’m 22. I have anxiety and depression. And today I started therapy again. And so the journey of self-love begins for me.”
This is not the first time that Lili has been transparent with us about her mental health struggles; she even took a break from Twitter back in December.
She took to her Instagram story to explain why the “site wasn’t good for her”, stating that she was “taking a break from that toxic site and the people on it who feel the need to constantly attack me, my cast mates, my relationship and Riverdale.”
We’re so proud of Lili for her strength in baring all about her struggles and hope she’ll inspire us to all speak up about our mental health and keep the conversation going.
