Summer style secret. “Generally, I like to take it really easy in summer. For inspiration, it always helps to look to some of my favorite summer destination cities like Lisbon or Rio and imagine how I’d dress there. It’s always a bit more low-key, relaxed, and easy. ”
Fave trends. “My favorite summer trend this season is linen, everything linen. It’s such a cool summer fabric, there’s a lot of it around this year, and it comes in some super chic silhouettes and pieces. I love an easy linen dress with sneakers. ”
Seasonal staples
“My summer staples have to be denim shorts, a tan leather belt, vintage shirts – menswear is good for this as it gives a much looser fit – vintage summer dresses, slides, and basket bags. Brazilian brands do the best swimwear.
My favorites are Adriana Degreas, Clube Bossa, Jo de Mer, Triya and Lenny. They also do amazing resort wear for post-beach moments. I discovered Dodo Bar Or three years ago, which is one of my absolute favorites for summer dresses. ”
Beauty must-haves
“As a beauty editor and with fair skin, sunscreen for me is an absolute must. I am very conscious of the sun. I never leave the house without applying sunscreen allover. For a summer tan, I love bronzing products that help to fake it. On my face, I like to do a mix of liquid bronzers, bronzing primers, and lots of highlighting products.
By Terry has a really good bronzing CC Cream, Nars Liquid Laguna is great, and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Highlighter is one of my faves. Then, I do whatever bronze-y shade I used on the face for my eyes as well to get that all-over look.
“Also, I always use body makeup to warm up the skin a bit more or just add sheen to it. A quick tip: If you don’t have a specific body product, you can just get a liquid bronzer and a liquid highlighter and mix them with your regular body lotion for glowing skin. ”
