Founded in 2012 by Sylvie Millstein, Hellessy is a womenswear brand that redefines sexy American sportswear through a French viewpoint. Functional yet elevated, the fabrication, cuts and colors are juxtaposed to achieve architectural fluidity.
Millstein melded her multi cultural background and 9-year experience as a senior merchant at Chanel to create pieces that caters to the cosmopolitan woman who embraces statement dressing, but searches for pieces relevant to her busy social life.
Hellessy was a US finalist for the 2016 International Woolmark Prize and is worn by influencers and celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Emma Watson, Lily Aldridge and Beyonce.
HELLESSY is currently seeking interns to support the wholesale and business development department for the Resort 19 sales campaign.
Tasks and responsibilities include learning and being part of merchandising, dressing models, styling, and general customer service within the luxury space.
Holding about 50-60 business meetings during a tight one week window when stores are in town for fashion week, this positions support goes hand in hand with making the appointments run both smoothly and seamlessly while upholding the brand DNA and values.
It’s a great opportunity to learn the luxury fashion landscape, the wholesale business model, ready-to-wear product (fabrications, fit, color, pricing), etc.
Each intern will be on a team of 3-5 interns which fluctuate based on date / time; this allows for a great opportunity to connect and network with peers.
Hours are in respect to existing academic schedules, but recommended availability is at least 3 days to allow for consistent and meaningful participation and work experience.
There is opportunity to continue within the wholesale department after market if interested in covering the management of in season sales, planning and reporting methods.
