Enter Dig Inn‘s Grilled Apples recipe. The NY-based, fine-fast restaurant group specializes in grain and salad bowls and is known for making nutritious, farm-to-table meals accessible in a New York minute to busy city dwellers looking for a healthy lunch or dinner alternative–and their Grilled Heirloom Apples aresodelicious we jumped at the opportunity to recreate the famous recipe.
Dig Inn’s Grilled Heirloom Apples
Ingredients:
-3 apples, cut into 8ths and cored
-2 Tablespoons olive oil
-Pinch maldon salt
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and toss to coat the apples.
- Heat up a cast iron or stainless steel pan on medium.
- Carefully place the apple wedges in the pan and cook on one side for about a minute and a half or until golden and caramelized.
- Flip over the wedges, cook for one more minute and then remove from heat to a plate.
- Either serve immediately or chill down before serving. Toss with another touch of olive oil if desired.
