Mendeleyev or “Lev” amazed judges Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend with his audition on Monday night’s episode, and earned the coveted four-chair turn.
Mendeleyev’s unique take on Bob Dylan’s classic, “Girl From the North Country,” showed off a slow and low voice which Clarkson compared to the best glass of pinot noir ever. “I feel like a warm blanket was just wrapped around me,” she told him after his audition.

In case you needed further proof that Kelly Clarkson is a musical goddess capable of belting out any song from any genre, I present to you her cover of “Gin and Juice.” The artist teamed up with actor Kal Penn to perform the Snoop Dogg hit on her talkshow Thursday, and we must admit, their duet slaps!
The unexpected pair both donned sunglasses before launching into their cover of the ’90s track, which Penn admitted was “a dream” come true.
Clarkson really got into character, slumping her shoulders and adorably head-bobbing to the beat while flawlessly rapping about how she’s got her mind on her money and her money on her mind.
