Fashion insiders, are going wild, for this secret Debenhams, designer dress collection

Fast-becoming one of London Fashion Week’s most popular labels, married couple Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi launched Preen (official name: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi) in 1996.

And while their seasonal high-end collections are always a huge success amongst fashion editors and celebrities alike – Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, Cate Blanchett and Scarlett Johansson are all big fans – it’s their collaboration with one of the UK’s biggest high street department stores that may be one of their smartest moves yet.

Here are the 10 things we’ll *all* be wearing in 2019

Launched in 2017, the designer duo paired up with Debenhams to create ‘Studio by Preen’, a diffusion line with all the shape and style of their main collections at a mere fraction of the price.

From jumpers to jackets, skirts to blouses, the high street collab offers up a smorgasbord of flattering pieces that bear all the staple branding markers (we’re talking endless frills, florals and asymmetric hemlines) of the higher-priced pieces, but it’s their dresses that have got fashion insiders talking.

One of the industry’s best kept secrets, if you took a sneak peek in any fashion editor’s wardrobe you’ll almost certainly find at least one. It’ll probably be mid-length. It’ll almost certainly boast some sort of a pattern. And it will definitely have been a goddamn bargain.

The current collection – the majority of which, admittedly, is in the sale – spans price points from £14. 70 to £79, and over half are under £50.

What are you waiting for! ?

But please don’t tell anyone else – we don’t want it to keep selling out. It can be our little secret, right?
