Klum shared snippets of the process on her Instagram, which included layers of h and makeup to create the gory final look. Adorned in prosthetics, metal plates, bloodstains, dripping intestines, and exposed rubber breasts, the alien costume apparently took 12 hours to create. That’s dedication.
Heidi Klum is the Queen of Halloween. Every year she rocks an over-top-the costume, leaving fans to wonder what she will do next – and this year was no different. The model and host celebrated 20 years of her famous Halloween bash with perhaps her most jaw-dropping (and grotesque) costume yet: a humanoid-alien hybrid.
She got ready at the Amazon store on West 34th street in New York City, where fans gathered to watch the hours-long transformation. In the end, Klum was unrecognizable – and truly terrifying. Seriously, this is the stuff nightmares are made of:
The 46-year-old arrived in her menacing ensemble at the Moxy East Village hotel alongside her husband Tom Kaulitz, who went as a zombie astronaut. As guests arrived like Mariah Carey and Jonathan Van Ness arrived, Klum embodied her character growling at them, Entertainment News reports. She and Kaulitz also developed an elaborate backstory for their costumes.
“So I was on a mission in outer space, looking for a new planet, because we almost destroyed ours,” Kaulitz explained to ET. “So I found her and I brought her back, because I thought she might have some useful information for us.”
The night was DJ’d by Questlove while guests enjoyed signature cocktails and dancing. Klum was later surprised with a cake recreating her past Halloween looks inc celebration of the party’s 20th anniversary.
Some of her Klum’s most notable Halloween costumes over the years include Fiona from the movie Shrek, the werewolf from Thriller, and Jessica Rabbit.
The alien takes the cake in terms of most visually disturbing, and once again, we’re nothing short of impressed with her dedication to the holiday. Heidi, you’ve outdone yourself.
