Springtime dressing is often relegated to flouncy dresses and leg-baring skirts — and theres nothing wrong with that — but it was refreshing to see celebrities shake up April fashion at the Wednesday evening premiere of the new Netflix film, “Kodachrome,” in Hollywood.
Elizabeth Olsen, who stars as the films female lead, chose a crisp white wool and silk crepe suit by Dior, with a plunging neckline and slightly cropped pants.
She accented the clean minimalism of the look rather perfectly with simple black sandals, an incredibly dewy sternum (Lizzie, tell us your moisturizer secrets! ), slicked-back hair and a precise red lip.

Olivia Wilde—who doesnt appear in the film, but was in attendance to support husband Jason Sudeikis (“Kodachrome”s male star) — chose a suit for the occasion, as well. A departure from Olsens look, her iteration was anything but minimalist: The blackElie Saabskirt-and-jacket set from the houses Fall 2018 collection featured all-over sequins, accented by rhinestone appliqués and lace paneling. Like Olsen, Wilde also went shirtless beneath her jacket, but in Wildes case, a simple black bra peeked through.
Props to both actresses (and their stylists) for bringing unexpected — yet still seasonally appropriate — fashion to the red carpet.
