Do Cereal Milkshakes Count As Breakfast? This Fast Food Chain Says Yes

What goes together better than cereal and milk, aside from maybe a burger and fries? Earlier this summer, Burger King released two limited edition milkshakes made from our favorite childhood cereals: Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms.

Thanks to the popularity of these shakes, the burger joint has decided to add another breakfast flavor to its dessert menu, and we’re seriously drooling! Get ready to dip your fries into the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake, which is available for a limited time starting today (October 5).

It blends vanilla soft serve, cinnamon cereal flavored syrup, and those tasty cinnamon squares into a breakfast bliss (there’s cereal in it, so it counts as breakfast, right? ). Just note that it comes in at a whopping 780 calories, not leaving many for the other two major meals of the day, and over 100 grams of sugar. The American Heart Association recommends no more than 25 grams of added sugar per day for women and 38 grams for men.

“Our cereal shake mashups have been a big hit with our guests, and we want to continue providing tasty, exciting shake options for them,” Alex Macedo, President, North America, for the Burger King brand told Business Insider. “Hand spun shakes are an iconic part of the Burger King brand history, and we know our guests will love this sweet menu addition. ”

See you at the drive-thru!
